Gary Weight is a Military Historian based in the UK.
With emphasis on the North-Western European Theatre of Operations during World War II, particularly Normandy, Gary works as an author, researcher, lecturer, translator and battlefield guide.
Published works include Mettle and Pasture – The History of the Second Battalion the Lincolnshire Regiment during World War II.
This book was a six year study of the Battalion throughout WWII and includes the part played in the retreat from Dunkirk in 1940, the D-Day landings in Normandy in 1944, and the subsequent advance through France, Belgium and Holland, ending in Germany in May 1945.
